Pakistan’s first female head chef Mahrukh Butt is coming to Glasgow to mastermind the cuisine at what will be Glasgow’s newest four-star hotel. And when she arrives at Glasgow’s Lorne Hotel, Mahrukh will be Scotland’s first female Asian head chef, a challenge she relishes.

She comes to the Lorne Hotel from a highly successful stint at the Sheraton in Downtown Dubai, where she was head chef and presided over a team of nine. Having worked in both Pakistan and Dubai, the exotic background is a suitable ingredient for a chef who will oversee menus that mix the best of cuisine from around the world.
